A pioneering course run by South Essex College offers courses in Gelish nail treatment.
Run in partnership with industry experts, Nail Harmony UK, the part-time evening courses will be offered at the college’s new Grays town centre campus. Alongside nail art, there will also be courses on manicure, and nail technology
Nail Harmony is the UK distributor of the increasingly in-demand USA brand, Gelish. More than 50,000 salons and nail technicians are now affiliated to the company around the world.
Jan Soar, the UK head of education for Nail Harmony, said: “I work with the tutors at the college to provide high quality product training. Doing these new courses will further enhance students’ credentials.
“It means that students will leave with a certificate for using Gelish products attached to their NVQ and Guild qualifications.”
Stelios Kontos, managing director of Nail Harmony Essex and Hertfordshire, said: “Gelish is endorsed for free by many celebrity fans, and with new colour collections coming out every quarter,  it is is one of the leading soak-off gel polishes in the world.
“So Gelish skills are invaluable for those working in the industry.
“South Essex College is one of the largest colleges we work with and we are pleased to offer discounted kits and training for their students.
“We’re happy to be involved with these brand new courses because we recognise the quality of education at the college and are impressed with the facilities made available to students.”

“All the courses will be held on a Tuesday evening making it perfect for those wanting to learn a new skill, change career or return to work after having a family.”
A six week manicure course will provide students with all the skills and knowledge they need to offer manicure services to clients, including learning cuticle treatments and hand massages.
The 15-week nail technology course will develop practical skills in providing nail enhancements using either UV gel or acrylic systems.
