CLEANERS from Brentwood Council have been out sweeping the boroughs streets after New Years celebrations.
Workers swept up any rubbish on Thursday left behind by revellers in the town following up from clean-ups on Tuesday.
Clearing up rubbish blown into the streets by high winds which have battered the area recently was also carried out.
Keith Parker, council spokesman for environment, praised the work of the cleaners, adding residents must make sure they know when binmen are due round their streets.
The Conservative councillor said: "I would ask that residents do not put their rubbish out too early for collection as the strength of the strong winds caused extra rubbish to be blown into the streets."
