AN ELDERLY man was robbed by two men in the disabled toilet at Sainsbury’s in Brentwood.

The victim, 81, entered the toilet at the supermarket in William Hunter Way at 1.30pm last Monday.

He was followed by two men, who pinned him against the toilet wall and then robbed him of his wallet containing around £30 cash.

Det Con Patrick Snape, of Brentwood CID, said: “The victim was left shaken.

“The store would have been busy with shoppers at this time and I am sure someone must have seen these men or witnessed what happened.”

The two suspects were white, in their mid 20s and both around 5ft 8ins tall. Both had light brown hair.

One may have been wearing a grey-coloured top and the other is thought to have been wearing a scarf at the time.

Witnesses should call Brentwood police station on 101.
