Brentwood Ladies bounced back from two defeats in a row to beat Waltham Forest at the Olympic Park.
Lauren Slater scored on the stroke of half time to level the scores, and at the start of the second half, Ruth Tilsley had the Ladies in front – and then doubled the visitors’ advantage.
Forest pulled one back late on but Brentwood held on. This Saturday, they face table-toppers St Albans at home.
Meanwhile, goals from Nick Hull and Steven Naven weren’t enough as the men’s team lost 3-2 away to Ford, despite a frantic finale to the match.
