Firefighters tackled a fire in a bedroom at a Brentwood hotel yesterday.
Fire crews were called to a hotel on Great Warley Street at 1.25am in the morning of Wednesday September 14.
The fire, which was completely extinguished by 2.37am, was said by Essex Fire to have started after a towel caught alight on a towel rail.
No-one is believed to have been hurt in the incident, and a spokesman for Essex Ambulance also confirmed they were been contacted.
Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and two ventilation fans were used to clear the building of smoke.
Both hotels on Great Warley Street, the Kilns Hotel and the De Rougemont Manor Hotel, denied the fire had been at their premises.
