Students at a Brentwood school found out about future career opportunities at a recent event.

A wide range of contributors attended the Annual Careers Fair at Brentwood County High, which was visited by students in years 8-13, together with their parents and carers.

Youngsters had the chance to chat to contributors about their future career pathways and to find out what qualifications they would need and the training options on offer. There were representatives from higher and further education, uniformed services, construction, sport, finance and accounting, law, science and engineering, IT, music, nursing, recruitment, hotel and catering, volunteering and the Armed Forces, to name a few. In addition, Athona Recruitment ran a workshop on CV and interview skills.

The Brentwood County High School Careers Fair has a reputation for being one of the best attended exhibitions in the area with many exhibitors agreeing to take part each year as a result.

Headteacher Stephen Drew said: “Once again we are delighted to have so many wonderful contributors at our Careers Fair. It was great to see hundreds of students from years 8-13 discussing their options for the future.”
