A SCHOOL held a party for senior citizens in the community.

Brentwood County High School, arranged the event as part of the schools community awareness initiative.

The Success Intervention Team invited some veterans from the Royal Naval Association and The Royal British Legion, to come along to join in with festive celebrations.

Staff and students from across the year groups worked incredibly hard to organise the event.

The guests had an amazing afternoon, enjoying a buffet lunch, playing bingo and had a chance to win prizes in the free raffle.

Those invited to the party were entertained by students who performed songs from our own adaptation of A Christmas Carol together with a few sing-a-long Christmas tunes.

Stephen Drew, Headteacher said “We are proud to have been able to host older members of our community for our annual Christmas lunch. Our young people thoroughly enjoy spending time with our visitors.”
