Robson Green takes you on a journey along the Essex Coast.

His programme Tales from the Coast with Robson Green will air at 8pm on ITV.

Below are some of our favourite spots along the coast.

There are the traditional seaside towns of Southend, Clacton and Walton.

The refinement of Frinton is always a special treat, along with its ice cream and fish and chips.

It is always mud, mud, glorious mud, when you visit Maldon, especially if the Mud Race is on.

The Hamford waters around the back of Walton are always worth seeing, especially if you join one of the boat trips run by Tony Haggis to see the seals.

Manningree is always full of charm and do look out for the swans as you head out towards Mistley.

Harwich also has industrial charms and so many delightful pubs in its back streets.

Closer to Colchester, Brigfhtlingsea is famous as a Cinque Port, with wonderful maritime heritage.

Wivenhoe is also worth a visit for its lovely estuary and it too has charming pubs, including CAMRA awardwinners.
