CHELMSFORD Museum is taking part in World Autism Awareness Day on Sunday April 2 by hosting a range of free, fun activities for everyone, but especially for those with a family member on the autism spectrum (ASC).

Taking place between 1-4pm at Chelmsford Museum at Oaklands Park, there will be a mini-dig for archaeology, object handling, dressing up in replica and period costumes and you can pose for a souvenir digital photo in front of a period ‘green screen’ backdrop.

Other activities include; puzzles, a detective trail and exploring the galleries using the Museum’s ‘Sensory Stimulation’ guide.

There will be an opportunity for adults to learn more about autism by taking an educational quiz. A comfy ‘Chill-out’ area will also be available for those needing time to relax.

Ear defenders will be available on request.
