A DISQUALIFIED driver has had his driving ban extended to four years and been jailed for 14 weeks.
Wayne Mixture, 47, was arrested on November 21 last year after failing to stop for police in Hall Lane, Sandon.
When he eventually stopped, he threatened the officers.
Mixture, who was already disqualified from driving at the time until 2019, was arrested and later charged with driving while disqualified and obstructing a police officer.
He initially denied the charges but changed his plea to guilty when he appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 13.
Mixture, a company director of Hall Lane, Sandon, was sentenced on the same day to 14 weeks in jail in total and ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
He was also given an additional two year driving ban.
