Essex police have successfully convicted 11 people who were arrested during this summer’s anti-drink and drug driving campaign.
107 people were arrested during the campaign which ran between June 1 and June 30.
Anyone who is convicted of a drink or drug driving offence having been arrested during that period will have their name and picture published to the public.
Adam Pipe, Essex Police’s Casualty Reduction Manager, said: “Too many people are still drink or drug driving in Essex and it puts lives at risk.
“No-one wants to be associated with the fact they have been caught and convicted of drink or drug driving and I hope this acts as a deterrent to anyone thinking about doing it.”
Inspector Rob Bretell, of the Thurrock Local Policing Team, added via Twitter: "These 11 endangered the communities you live in - if they are seen driving over next year please let us know - we will happily arrest again."
