BRITISH rock band Dr Feelgood, who hail from Canvey, will be performing in Chelmsford next month.
Formed on the island in the early 1970s, the band remains one of the most popular and exciting live rhythm and blues acts in the world.
Dr Feelgood have enjoyed global success with a string of hit sin - gles including Roxette, Back in the Night, Milk and Alcohol, Down at the Doctors, She Does it Right, Going Back Home.
Their single See You Later Alligator gave the group their first gold record.
The current line-up features Kevin Morris on drums and Phil Mitchell on bass, Steve Walwyn on guitar and Robert Kane (formerly of the Animals) as the most recent addition.
They will be playing at the Clarets Bar at Chelmsford Football Club on September 29.
