An inquest into the death of 15-year-old William Tweed has found that he died from severe chest injuries after being struck by a train.
William Tweed, of Heybridge Road, was found by the train tracks just south of Ingatestone station on September 21 2017.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
At the inquest today, giving evidence was Alan Clements, who gave William's preliminary cause of death as "serious chest injuries" following a postmortem, and investigations into the death are ongoing.
The full inquest has been adjourned for January 17 2018 at 10am.
