A man has been charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Horndon-on-the-Hill in which a man was left seriously injured and a woman and two children were hurt.
Salih Bulbuller, 21, of Homerton Road, Hackney was arrested on Monday, October 2 and has now been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
It is reported to have taken place at an address in the Horndon Road area in the early hours of Wednesday, September 27.
A group of masked men allegedlystormed the home armed with firearms and knives, assaultede the four occupants and stole a four figure sum of cash.
One of the victims, a 36-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his head, arm and back.
A 30-year-old woman and two children were also threatened and assaulted.
He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court today
