The arrests follows nine reports that a man knocked at addresses in Billericay and Hutton and enquired about sponsorship money.

He told people that he was running a marathon for charity that helps poorly children.

He was arrested at around 8.15am on August 17, and he has since been released on bail Wednesday, September 12.
