POLICE arrested three men today in connection with people trafficking, while carrying out visits on car washes.

The arrests were made at car washes in Little Waltham and Maldon, during an operating to clampdown on human trafficking.

A visit was also made at a car wash in the Chelmsford area – all was in order.

A 35-year-old man was found to be wanted on a European arrest warrant from Italy, during the Little Waltham check.

Whilst carrying out a visit on a car wash in the Maldon area, the team arrested a 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old man on suspicion of immigration acts offences.

All were taken to Chelmsford custody to be dealt with by immigration services.
