Police are appealing for information following a crash in Chelmsford where a woman suffered life-threatening injuries.
It happened in Roxwell Road, near the BP garage, just after 7pm yesterday (Tuesday, February 14).
A woman in her 30s was in collision with a red Citreon C2, which was heading into Chelmsford, as she crossed the road.
She suffered serious injuries and was flown to hospital where she is in a life-threatening condition.
The road was closed while officers investigated and the vehicle was recovered. It re-opened just before 1am.
No-one has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage or has any information about the incident is asked to contact Pc Jenny Pirie from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
