A man in his 50s was rushed to hospital after collapsing in the ticket office at Shenfield rail station.
The male collapsed shortly after 8.40am on Tuesday and it is suspected he has suffered a stroke, though paramedics are unable to confirm this.
He was taken by ambulance to Queen's Hospital in Romford for treatment and is described as being in a "serious condition".
