A MAN has died after being hit by a train at Brentwood station this morning.
The incident happened at about 7.45am at the station forcing a number of trains to be disrupted while emergency services attended the scene.
The casualty was confirmed dead at the scene.
Lines were blocked because of the incident meaning trains cannot run through the station.
London to Shenfield metro services had to terminate at Gidea Park, not stopping at Harold Wood, Brentwood and Shenfield.
Tickets were being accepted on London Underground lines along with c2c services although commuters are being advised not to travel unless absolutely necessary.
All lines were reopened just after 11am but services were still subject to delays and cancellations at short notice.
