POLICE want to speak to this man following an assault at Shenfield train station which saw a man kicked and punched in the face.

The incident happened shortly after 1am on Saturday, June 14. A 30-year-old man was waiting on platform three when he was set upon by a man. The victim escaped serious injury, but was left bruised by the attack.

As part of their investigation into the incident, detectives from British Transport Police have studied CCTV from the station.

Detective Constable Sally Everritt said: “Violence on the rail network is unacceptable and we are working hard to find the person responsible for this attack.

“I am confident that the man in the stills we are issuing today has valuable information about the incident.

“I would ask people to look carefully at the images and get in touch if they recognise him.”
