ESSEX glamour model Jodie Marsh has been charged with harassment over text messages she allegedly sent to her ex-husband.

The 37-year-old, originally from Brentwood, who is due to appear before magistrates on November 9, went on Twitter on Tuesday to say she was the "ultimate bad girl" over her arrest.

She was held by police four months ago over the claims, which are linked to messages she sent about a financial dispute between her and her former partner James Placido, and charged on Tuesday.

Her agent KTS Talent Management said: "Jodie completely denies the charges of harassment and looks forward to going to court."

Reality TV star Marsh revealed her arrest in a tweet on Tuesday.

The model, who was at one time a bodybuilder, first came into the public eye when she appeared in the ITV series Essex Wives in 2002, and has since appeared in several reality shows and magazines.

A spokeswoman for Essex Police said: "A woman has been charged with two counts of harassment without violence.

"Jodie Marsh, 37, of Great Dunmow, was charged last night, Tuesday October 11 and will appear before magistrates in Chelmsford on November 9."
