TWO men have appeared in court charged with burglary.
Frankie Gavin, 27, a bricklayer from Nethers Prior in Basildon and Ricky Pearce, 25, unemployed, of Great Knightleys in Basildon, appeared at Basildon Magistrates Court yesterday.
The burglary took place in the early hours of Monday, January 23 at a house in Thrift Green, Brentwood. Mobile phones, a tablet, wallet and bank cards were stolen.
The bank cards were used in various locations in the early hours of the morning of January 23 at the Brentwood Connect service station, McDonalds in Southend and the BP Garage in Basildon.
Gavin was charged with burglary, two counts of fraud by false representation, and possession of cannabis. Pearce was charged with burglary, two counts of fraud by false representation, driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
They were remanded in custody until their next appearance at Basildon Crown Court on Wednesday, March 8.
