A CHELMSFORD teenager landed himself a role in a television hospital drama.
Danny McNamara, 16, appeared in BBC One’s Casualty last weekend.
Danny has studied at the Tomorrow’s Talent theatre school, in Well Lane, Danbury as well as at Chelmsford College, in Moulsham Street. He is training to be an electrician when he’s not acting.
In the TV drama, Danny plays a teenage boy who is in charge of looking after his younger brother.
All goes wrong after a house party when the younger brother gets taken ill and Danny’s character is blamed.
This is Danny’s first TV role and he secured it with his first-ever TV audition. He spent a week at BBC Cardiff filming the episode after his initial audition at BBC Elstree.
Danny’s previous credits include plays for the National Theatre at Theatre Royal, Stratford East and The Queens Theatre, Hornchurch. He will next be appearing at the Cramphorn Theatre, Chelmsford, in Status Updated on Sunday.
