A CARE home opened its doors to the public for an annual summer fair.
St Joseph’s Nursing Home, Gay Bowers Road, Danbury invited the residents’ friends and family to join them for a fun day of barbeque, cakes, stalls and a bouncy castle.
The staff held a bake- off contest, where prizes were given for taste, looks and creativity, and the afternoon was rounded off with two musical performances by Robert Jerome and Tanya Honey.
The event raised £400 to help fund resident activities and events through - out the year.
Joanne Scott, home manager at the home said: “The St Joseph’s summer fair is always a highlight in the year for staff and residents.
"It was lovely to see friends and family having fun with the residents.”
