THE son of legendary bass guitarist will be performing in Chelmsford this weekend.

Malcolm Bruce, son of Cream bassist Jack Bruce, will be appearing at The Bassment, in Wells Street, on Saturday. Doors open at 7.45pm.

Malcolm Bruce is a composer, songwriter and performer who sings and plays guitar, bass and piano.

Malcolm has always been immersed in a musical environment.

He grew up hearing and experiencing firsthand some of the finest musicians around, whether through his father’s frequent collaborations with musicians such as Tony Williams or John Mclaughlin, or Jack’s own bands with musicians like Simon Phillips and Mick Taylor.

Entry to the Bassment will be £10 and those attending must be 18 year old.
