Commuters face a miserable journey to work this morning after multiple crashes on the A13.
Queues are stretching back more than five miles on the A13 London-bound carriageway after a two-vehicle crash on the Stanford-le-Hope bypass.
The crash, which was first reported at about 5.45am, is believed to have taken place near the junction with the Manorway and has left one lane of two blocked.
It is not known at this time if anyone is seriously hurt or if emergency services are on the scene.
A second crash then took place on the Southend-bound carriageway between the A1306 and the M25 near Aveley.
Three vehicles are believed to have been involved and delays are building, already heavy due to an incident on the M25.
Motorists are advised to find an alternative route or allow extra time to travel this morning.
The traffic has now cleared.
