A UNIQUE and fun family event is coming to Orsett Hall for people of all ages and will be the first of its kind in Essex.

Entertainment company Big Fish Little Fish is bringing its award-winning indoor family rave to Thurrock for the first time.

The event will take place at Orsett Hall, in Prince Charles Road, Orsett, on November 19 and promises to be an amazing and entertaining afternoon of fun.

World-renowned DJs Nookie and DJ Trax will play old-school, grown-up dance music.

Ravers can dance to the tunes on a multi-sensory dancefloor with lights but no strobes, glitter cannons, huge balloons, bubbles and a giant parachute dance.

The theme for the event is Out of this World and ravers are encouraged to come in fancy dress - but it is optional of course.

The music is played at a monitored level and is safe for younger ears.

If you can’t keep up the dancing for the whole afternoon, there will also be a crafts table with a giant interactive mural, themed crafts, a face painter and a fully licensed bar.

Big Fish Little Fish was voted Best Family Event from 2014 to 2017 at the National Family Arts Festival.

It was set up by Hannah Saunders in Brixton in 2013. She is an old raver and was going to baby groups and finding she wasn’t doing anything that she really wanted to do.

She found it was all about the children, so she decided to set something up for families that both the grown-ups and the kids could enjoy together.

The idea behind the family rave was born and now the company provides family fun for the post-rave generation of parents and has been helping parents be responsibly irresponsible since 2013.

The event will last from 2pm until 4.30pm and tickets are £8 for adults and £6 for children.

Pre-walking babies go for free.
