Brentwood’s hairdresser secures a place on the Fellowship of British Hairdressing’s F.A.M.E. Team, and wins in the Essex Salon Awards.

Ellie Bond from award-winning salon Spargo Hairdressing, has an impressive list of hairdressing accomplishments under her belt already, such as becoming a UK Ambassador for the brand Sexy Hair and flying to New York to fly the flag for Essex hairdressing at New York Fashion Week.

Now, Ellie has been given one of the greatest honours, by being named one of four members of 2018’s F.A.M.E. Team, arguably the most prestigious and highly-esteemed hairdressing programme in the UK.

Ellie said: “I feel overwhelmed to have both been selected for 2018’s F.A.M.E. Team, as well as being awarded the Future Talent award at the Essex Salon Awards.

“To be recognised within the industry so early on in my career is such an honour. I look forward to an incredible year ahead with an extremely talented group of hairdressers, leading the future generation of hairdressing.”

F.A.M.E is an annual initiative that was created to nurture, encourage and promote an elite group of young, up-and-coming hairdressers in all aspects of the industry.

Ellie went through three rounds of judging to reach the final four, including an on-stage audition presenting a model look at Salon International, the biggest hair exhibition in the country.

She was awarded her place at the Fellowship’s Luncheon and awards ceremony at London’s The Dorchester hotel, by President of the Fellowship, Karine Jackson, Chairman Jo Martin and the man who will be mentoring the team throughout the year, session stylist Nick Irwin.

As if all that success wasn’t enough, Ellie was also crowned this year’s ‘Future Talent’ at the Essex Salon Awards 2017 at Orsett Hall.

The ceremony welcomed 250 hair industry professionals to recognise all the dynamic and innovative Essex hair salons and hairdressers.

Ian Marshall, owner at Spargo Hairdressing says, “We love celebrating a fantastic occasion here at Spargo, and once again our star Ellie has given us cause to make a fuss.

“She has achieved recognition for her work worldwide and continues to help put Spargo on the map. “We are incredibly proud of her and all of the staff at Spargo who continue to uphold our fantastic values and customer service record as a business.”
