Do you know someone who goes out of their way to make a difference in the community?

The Brentwood Civic Awards are fast approaching and it’s time for you to nominate anyone you believe deserves recognition for their commitment and hard work.

The awards are being held to celebrate the countless hours of commitment demonstrated by the many local people and organisations who dedicate themselves to helping others and striving to make Brentwood a better place.

The awards are given to those for their 'service to the community' or for their 'lifetime achievement'. It could be an individual or a group who have made a real difference to the local community. Anyone who lives or works in Brentwood can be nominated.

Mayor of Brentwood, councillor Will Russell, said: "From having been Mayor since May and visiting countless groups, organisations and events locally, it is clear in Brentwood there is no shortage of dedicated individuals and groups who give their time to improve the lives of others and for very worthy causes.

"The Civic Awards are our way of saying thank you to those, who often give so much without asking or expecting anything back.”
