Police are appealing for information for information after a pedestrian was in collision with car in Hutton yesterday (Thursday, January 4).
A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Hutton last night.
The victim, from Brentwood, suffered serious head injuries and is in hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Officers received reports that a 34-year-old man was struck by a Peugeot 2008 as he walked in Rayleigh Road near to the junction of Claughton Way at around 7.10pm.
The driver, a 34-year-old man from Hutton was arrested at the scene on suspicion of careless driving and driving while under the influence.
He was later released under investigation.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of around the time of the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, has information or dash cam footage is asked to contact Pc Natacha Brown at the Serious Injury Collision Unit at Boreham on 101 quoting incident 949 of 04/01.
