Oscar Ingram, 21, has been charged with his murder and has been remanded into custody after appearing at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday, West Midlands Police said.

The charge comes after a 17-year-old boy was remanded on Tuesday for the same offence.

Two teenagers, aged 17 and 13, have been released on bail while police continue their investigations, the force said.

Ozell’s parents said in a statement: “Our special boy, Ozell, was one of a kind. A loving, respectful, funny, bubbly and courageous boy who always saw the bright side of life.

“He had a strong head on him and was wise beyond his years. He was independent and wanted to make his own way in life.”
