Joan Ellen Sloan Sadly passed away on the 13th December, 2021, aged 92 years. A beloved wife to Bill (who sadly passed in 2004), a much missed mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed. Joan's funeral will take place on Friday 21st January 2022, at 1.40pm, Southend Crematorium. Donations in Joan's memory would be gratefully received for Cancer Research UK, c/o JW Tate & Son, 20 North Street, Rochford, SS4 1AB. Joan's family would like to thank everyone for the love and support given at this difficult time.

Joan (and Bill) were friends of our parents Alan and Esme. Their lives were inter-linked by the Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness line and the training at Stratford (happy days). We are sorry for your loss at this sad time and send our condolences to the entire family. John and Mary Cambridge
