ARMED police swooped on Brentwood over the weekend and two men were arrested.
Officers from the Met Police Trident Gang Crime Command executed a drugs warrant at commercial premises in Ashwells Road just after midnight on Saturday.
During the search, a sawn off shotgun was recovered along with a items for the shortening such as oil, file and gloves. Cash was also recovered and two cans of CS spray.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.
Then at 5.30pm, a vehicle was stopped driving away from the same premises and the 22-year-old male driver arrested on suspicion of firearms offences Both suspects have been bailed until November, pending further inquires.
Events occurred the same day officers blocked the road and swooped on suspects outside the Black Horse pub in Ongar Road. Police haven’t released any specific information on the incident.
