MORE than 5,600 Brentwood residents told the council what they would like to see at William Hunter Way.
The consultation closed on Wednesday, November 5 and is one of the most popular ever run by the borough council.
Residents were asked what they would like to see developed on the town centre car park site, after plans for a cinema and shopping complex fell through earlier this year.
The responses will be discussed at a meeting on Monday.
Cllr Russell Quirk, chaiman of the Asset and Enterprise Committee and chairman of the William Hunter Way Working Group, said: "This has to be the most successful consultation the Council has ever done and I would like to thank everyone who has taken part to make sure their voice is heard.
"I’m proud that our residents and businesses have been involved since the start of this process and that ethos will continue.
"Our meetings are public where you don’t just sit and watch but you can also be part of it and ask questions.
"The huge response we have had to this consultation shows that people are interested in the future of William Hunter Way so please come along on Monday night where together we will see the initial results."
