Drivers faced delays long after a crash closed the M25 and Dartford Tunnels.
The anti-clockwise carriageway of the London Orbital was closed between junction 30, for the A13, and junction 29, for the A127, after a two-vehicle collision at about 10.15am today.
Firefighters were called to the two vehicle collision at 10am today.
Crews used specialist cutting equipment and had released all three casualties just before 11am.
The casualties were left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
The Dartford Tunnel was closed at about midday after traffic backed up to the M20 in Kent.
One lane of the M25 clockwise was also closed for more than an hour after the accident and traffic was slow once it reopened, at about midday.
The closure followed an earlier accident between junction 28, for the A12, and junction 29, for the A127, at about 7.30am.
A lorry also broke down, blocking the inside lane between junction 30 and 29, clockwise, for two and a half hours from 6.15am.
