Essex Freemason’s are funding the installation of defibrillators to save lives in Ingatestone and Blackmore.
Brentwood lodges have already sponsored a defibrillator in the shopping centre near Shenfield station which was installed in 2014.
Now Ingatestone Lodge has now sponsored the installation of a defibrillator in the High Street in Ingatestone and Old Brentwoods Lodge has sponsored the one outside the Co-op in Blackmore.
Members of the public can be directed to this equipment and given access by the emergency services during a 999 call. Operation of the equipment is simple and can save those precious minutes while an ambulance arrives.
This initiative was inspired by Ron Ridge, a Freemason and Co-ordinator of the Four Parishes First Responder Group of the East of England Ambulance Service, providing a number of defibrillators in town centres, which Essex Masons’ are actively supporting.
