BRENTWOOD businessmen and women can this month attend a free workshop, that aims to help bump up sales figures.

Brentwood Borough Council is supporting a business coaching program to enable entrepreneurs to look at sales process, and ways to increase profit.

It will take place on Tuesday (June 14) from 9am-noon, at the Town Hall in Ingrave Road.

The briefing, called Improve Your Sales and Win More Business, is the latest in a series of support events the council runs alongside Pro-Actions, a group of business coaches based in Chelmsford.

Councillor Louise McKinlay, who is the chair of the Policy, Finance and Resources Committee, said: "I am pleased that we can run another FREE session with Pro-actions to help support businesses in Brentwood. I would encourage local businesses to take up this opportunity to learn more to improve their sales success."

The event will also address how to identify customer base and improve sales techniques.

Colin Blore from Essex Pro-Actions, said: "We are delighted to be working with the Brentwood Council’s Economic Development team again.

"Sales are the lifeblood of any business and we have found that businesses attending this event in the past have been able to make a real difference to their performance.

"The events are designed for businesses at all levels whether they are starting up or they have been running for years but there is a real desire to improve performance.”
