Two men attempted to rob a takeaway pizza restaurant armed with a machete.
Two men entered the Dominos Pizza, in Rayleigh Road, Hutton, at around 11.15pm yesterday armed with what is believed to be a machete and threatened staff.
They were then disturbed and ran from the scene emptied handed.
Both of the suspects have been described as being around 6ft tall and of an average build.
One of the men was wearing a black coat and grey tracksuit bottoms and the other was wearing black jacket and black tracksuit bottoms.
Essex Police are now appealing for information on the incident.
Anyone with information or has CCTV or dashcam footage of around the time of the incident is asked to contact Brentwood CID on 101 quoting incident 1197 of 21/12 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
