Several sites which could be turned into housing across Hertsmere have been revealed.

Hertsmere Borough Council has released a list of places across the borough which landowners would be willing to give up for new builds.

The council has been given a target of 500 homes a year as part of its Local Plan but with around 80 per cent of the borough defined as green belt, tough decision will have to be made to give the go-ahead to build on sites which is meant to be protected from development.

Not all of the sites listed below will be developed and the council will be consulting with all parties to find the places which are most suitable.

Listed below are the major developments which have been suggested. Click the link at the bottom of the page to see all sites which could be turned into housing.
