Remembrance was commemorated all over the district at the weekend.
Services took place in various spots including Maldon and Wickham Bishops.
MP for Maldon John Whittingdale said that this year’s event was particularly poignant as it marked the centenary of the Armistice which marked the end of the First World War.
Mr Whittingdale said: “Maldon District Council, town council, the Royal British Legion and others have done a fantastic job in organising a series of events to ensure that every resident had an opportunity to reflect and to pay their respects.
“While I was sad to miss the event in Promenade Park that evening, it was wonderful to be present for the culmination of these services to mark the centenary of the end of the war.”
