NATURE lovers with mobility problems will now be able to enjoy the great outdoors after a nature reserve got an all terrain mobility scooter.
Essex Wildlife Trust’s Fingringhoe Wick now has the go anywhere scooter at its visitor centre and nature reserve.
The Tramper is an off-road mobility scooter which allows the driver to safely cross rough, uneven terrain and unpaved routes.
It was donated to the trust by a regular visitor.
At this time of year there are large numbers of wading birds gathering in the Colne Estuary, where they come to feed on the rich intertidal mud.
Residents may even catch a glimpse of a striking Kingfisher, a soaring Marsh harrier or a silently hunting Barn owl.
Verity Hales, site manager at centre, said: “We are thrilled to now be offering the all-terrain mobility scooter to our visitors, it will allow those with limited mobility to access the reserve all year round.”
If you wish to use the scooter contact 01206 729678 or email fingringhoe@essexwt.org.uk.
