Canvey paedophile hunter suspect
A 59-year-old man from Canvey who was arrested on suspicion of sexual communications with a child has been released under investigation.
Yesterday, the Echo reported how self-proclaimed vigilante paedophile hunters had confronted a man at his home in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The paedophile hunters were under the belief he had sent indecent messages to a 13-year-old girl.
He was then arrested by Essex Police and remained in custody overnight.
Essex Police have now confirmed he has been released on bail until March 8.
