MORE than 300 knitted chicks and bunnies have been donated to a supermarket.
Morrison’s in Dovercourt has received hundreds of knitted chicks and rabbits from its staff and customers.
The knitted Easter characters were filled with chocolate eggs and sold for £1.50 at the store.
Community champion Cally Short said she was astounded at the generosity the amount of knitted chicks that were being donated and never dreamed it would have such a brilliant response.
She said: “We are now on the hunt for an idea for Christmas so we can get a head start.
“The total raised was £628 which is being donated to CLIC Sargent.”
