Residents have spoken out of their shock after a murder investigation was launched after a man's death.
A man died in hospital after being taken ill at a home in Parsonage Road, Grays.
One resident said: "This is horrendous.
"I can't believe this happens where we live.
"I have young kids and of course don't want them near this sort of this.
"My thoughts are with his man's loved ones at this awful time.
"It's good to see police are dealing with this."
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Grays.
The 38-year-old from Tilbury was arrested today, Saturday 20 April, on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody for questioning.
It follows the death of a 35-year-old man on Thursday 18 April.
He had been taken ill at an address in Parsonage Road and sadly later died in hospital.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death as we believe he may have been assaulted in the days beforehand.
