A12 crash: Dashcam footage by Stewart Mills of Southend
This picture shows why motorists are facing servere delays on the A12 this evening.
Stewart Mills' dashcam recorded footage of a car on its side, seemingly balancing against the central reservation barrier.
Traffic on the Ipswich-bound stretch has come to a standstill following the crash, which happened between junction 22 at Witham and junction 23 at Kelvedon sometime around 4pm.
Both lanes have now been closed and traffic is building as far back as junction 20 at Hatfield Peverel.
UPDATE - A12 Northbound – TWO LANES CLOSED between J23 Kelvedon S/B1024) and Junction 24 (Kelvedon) following an accident involving four vehicles. Traffic is slow moving on the southbound carriageway as well
