WARRINGTON has got a few famous current and former residents - but can you guess which celebrity tops the list of Wikipedia searches?

A People Map of the UK, where city names have been replaced by their most Wikipedia’ed resident, has been put together by data website The Pudding.

And it's found Chris Evans is the most searched for Warrington celebrity.

The former Padgate High Pupil is a television presenter, radio DJ, businessman, voice actor and producer for radio and television and made the switch from Radio Two's breakfast show to Virgin earlier this year.

The former Top Gear and TFI presenter, who took part in the Christmas Day parkrun in Warrington, has hinted he will be in the line-up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The Wikipedia list has been put together with people who were born in, lived in, or connected to a place with any person on the free encyclopedia website under consideration including those connected to and victims of criminal acts.

But it's not just Warrington that has an entry on the map, The Rocky Horror Picture Show star Tim Curry has replaced Grappenhall and Thelwall after being born in the area and attending Lymm High School.

While Lymm has been wiped off the map and replaced with fellow Lymm High pupil and rugby union player David Strettle who plays Saracens.

Ken Horn is the most Wikipeda'ed Winwick resident after producing hit BBC TV show Line of Duty.

While in nearby Newton, Never Gonna Give You Up singer Rick Astley tops the pile, in Golborne it's professional wrestler Davey Boy Smith and for Lowton it's Katie White who formed one half of pop duo The Ting Tings.
