FIREFIGHTERS from Oxfordshire were among those paying their respects to those who died in the Grenfell fire tragedy.
Representatives of the local branch of the Fire Brigades Union travelled to London on Friday to take part in the commemorations for the second anniversary of the disaster.
The blaze, in North Kensington, West London, killed 72 people.
It started after a fridge-freezer on the first floor malfunctioned and flames spread rapidly up the tower block.

Oxford City Council was one of the first in the country to replace cladding on its own tower blocks after stricter Government tests were introduced after the tragedy.
Cladding covering Evenlode and Windrush towers in Blackbird Leys was removed and replaced by June 2018.
The council was refunded £1.1million from the Government for the work last month.
