AN urgent appeal has been issued to help make the wedding dreams come true for a groom with terminal cancer.
The charity Gift of a Wedding is calling on Warrington residents to help them grant his final wish and marry his beautiful fiance.
A spokesman for the charity added: "We are very privileged to let you know that we have just approved a wedding for a special young man from Warrington.
"We therefore only have a few weeks to create his magical day.
"Our lovely groom has terminal cancer and a very short time to live, so the one thing he wants most in the whole world is to marry his beautiful fiancee."
The wedding will take place on Friday, September 6 in Lymm and the charity is appealing for the following services:
- Wedding planner
- Videographer
- DJ
- Swing band
- Drinks reception singer: blues/swing/jazz
- Nails
- Hair
- Make up
- Male grooming
- Cake
- Cupcakes
- Favours: Packets of seeds
- Venue dressing
- Photo booth
- Star lit backdrop
- Ice cream cart
- Table games
- Large rustic light up letters
- Groom's car - Campervan
Anyone who can help is being asked to either private message the charity on Facebook via their Gift of a Wedding Facebook page, tweet @giftofawedding or email icanhelpwarrington@giftofawedding.org as soon as possible.
A spokesman added: "We appreciate that not everyone has the skills we require to provide a service for our weddings.
"Please don't worry, you can still help by making a donation for items that will not be donated. For example food and wedding rings."
