COLCHESTER Zoo has paid tribute to one of its sorely missed animals.
The zoo remembered Rajang the orangutan who died in December, aged 50.
On social media the zoo said: "There’s not a day that goes by where we do not think about our dear friend Rajang the orangutan.
"Since Rajang’s passing, we have had a bronze sculpture of him commissioned, which has been installed within the garden by Rajang’s Forest near All Saints Church, as we work to make this into an area to remember our friend.
"We would now like your help to create a memory cloud filled with words that remind you of Rajang which will become part of the memorial garden.
"Please tell us how you describe our unforgettable friend; whichever words spring to mind when you think of Rajang, maybe ‘friend’, ‘inquisitive’, 'thoughtful' or even the word ‘orange’."
