PHIL Parkinson is not interested in the vacant managerial position at Southend United, Echosport understands.
The experienced former Bolton Wanderers chief topped an Echosport poll among the club’s supporters to be the Blues next boss.
But sources close to the 51-year-old insist Parkinson will not be heading to Roots Hall.
Parkinson, who had been among the bookmakers’ favourites for the role, has taken charge of more than 700 games during his managerial career which has also seen him achieve success with both Bradford City and Colchester United.
However, Parkinson is represented by the same agent as former Blues boss Chris Powell and will be not be replacing Kevin Bond who resigned last week.
